An impact report gives stakeholders a transparent assessment of an organization's environmental, social, and economic effects. These reports have become essential tools for companies demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. Impact reports typically measure key performance indicators against established goals, highlighting achievements and improvement areas.

2024 Environmental Impact Report
Our recently released Impact Report showcases significant strides in sustainable manufacturing practices across our operations.
Let's examine key accomplishments:
Third-Party Verified Environmental Product DeclarationWe achieved a significant milestone with the publication of a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for our planter products, representing approximately two-thirds of sales. EPDs provide transparent, verified information about a product's environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. This certification demonstrates our commitment to environmental transparency and accountability. | ![]() |

Significant CO2 Emissions Reduction
Perhaps most impressive is the potential reduction in CO2 emissions, up to 45%, per pound of cement in the GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) mix; this is still in the testing phase, but the results so far are promising: a substantial decrease in carbon emissions while simultaneously improving product strength—proving that sustainability and product quality can advance together. This innovation addresses one of manufacturing's most challenging environmental issues, as cement production is typically carbon-intensive.

Metal Recycling Initiative
We recycled 224,000 pounds of metal in our Port Orchard, WA, facility alone in 2024. This substantial figure reflects our dedication to circular economy principles, minimizing waste while recovering valuable materials that would otherwise require energy-intensive new production.

Hazardous Waste Reduction
Despite increased production at their Ciudad Juarez facility, Tournesol has reduced hazardous waste by 28% since 2022. This achievement demonstrates effective waste management protocols and indicates process improvements that minimize the generation of hazardous byproducts.

Water Conservation
Water conservation represents another area of progress, with an 8% decrease in water usage since 2022 despite increased production of water-intensive GFRC products. This counter-intuitive improvement suggests significant enhancements in water management systems and production processes.

Organizational Commitment
We have added a dedicated Sustainability Team Lead to support our growing sustainability efforts. Working with our 3P team (Planet, People, and Prosperity), the group ensures that our initiatives stay on track and receive the attention they deserve.

Our People
Looking ahead to 2025, we're making meaningful investments in our Ciudad Juarez facility that go beyond efficiency—these improvements will create a safer, more comfortable workplace while conserving resources.
Across all our locations, we're committed to continuous improvement that benefits both our processes and those who make them work.
Looking Forward
We're proud of what we've accomplished, understanding that reducing environmental impacts with increasing production volumes doesn’t mean compromising the quality of our products. We know there's a lot more to do. Our sustainability journey continues to unfold, with each step teaching us something new about how we can contribute to broader climate and conservation goals.
