Boulevard Trash Receptacle
Boulevard Trash Receptacles are designed to complement our appealing collection of Boulevard planters and wood site furnishings. These outdoor trash cans have an open top with hidden stainless steel hinges and a steel plate Rain Hood sold in our collection-specific black.
The sturdy steel frame construction and wood cladding ensure high-quality durability and performance for the collection receptacles, making them ideal for food service locations and gas stations.
Boulevard Collection waste receptacles will blend inconspicuously within the space, so they’re recommended for smaller, distinct cafes or outside-room restaurant settings.
The receptacle uses a sturdy 11 gauge frame with a corrosion-resistant undercoat, a black powder-coated finish, and wooden cladding. The Boulevard Collection has a characteristic wood cladding that wraps these waste containers with recognizable finishes like Tournesol’s highly recommended thermally modified wood finish.
Other available cladding options are Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, and Ipe, all grown and harvested in the US. These bins complement existing wood planters, benches, and other site furnishings.
Tournesol Recyclers
As you coordinate your outdoor space or commercial zone with planters like Wilshire Collection planters, complement them with the proper trash containers or recyclers. Our Tournesol Receptacles and Recyclers are commercial outdoor trash cans and recycle bins using FRP fiberglass for added durability. They also offer many additional practical solutions for your outdoor application, including cigarette receptacles integrated into designs for areas like gas stations and parkviews.
Because the trash bins and receptacles are made of fiberglass, they are available in multiple color choices and several design configurations—all capable of holding 20- or 23-gallon removable plastic liners. The versatile design allows these commercial garbage cans to be standalone commercial trash receptacles or used with matching in-line planters.
The receptacles also feature several lid types, with three standard openings available, depending on the waste type. In addition, all bins and recyclers are waterproof to prevent possible leaks and spillage.
Plaza Collection Receptacles
Following the design of the Plaza Collection, the Plaza Collection Receptacles and recycling bins provide an attractive solution for waste management in public places. These recycling receptacles are made of mild steel using the same simple steel strap design as their benches and tables and come in various powder-coating finishes.
The robust 1/4 x 1-1/2” steel straps are fully welded to the ring framework to give these receptacles their strength and durability, contributing significantly to the bin’s visual and stylistic appeal.
These heavy-duty receptacles are manufactured in two different configurations and feature hinged tops that can be either flat or dome tops. Also available are side-open doors on the recycling container that enhance its functionality and waste management capabilities.
The top selection is important since bins with dome lids ship unassembled and might require post-purchase assembly, including surface mounting; these receptacles can be secured to the surface via the mounting tabs in the bin’s base.
We offer additional options like four leveling feet, a lock assembly for the side door, standard decals, and custom site furnishing decal plates—the latter requires that you submit your CAD design to Tournesol, who will give the Plaza receptacles your unique touch that can elevate your space, expose your brand to wider audiences, or spread some ecological awareness.
Materials, Finishes, and Care
Tournesol’s products come in different materials and finishes, the choice of which is usually associated with the product and collection you choose. For example, the Boulevard Collection bins use powder-coated mild steel for a strong foundation and wood cladding for physical durability. At the same time, its powder coating protects it from the elements.
Our natural wood finishes may require additional care and maintenance to increase its durability and visual appeal. These can be easily cleaned with a pressure washer, commercial deck cleaning products effective against biological growth (to eliminate mold spores), and soapy water.
The wood surface can be easily scrubbed with a nylon brush and thoroughly rinsed. Please avoid using abrasives, as they can damage the wood. Once washed, rinse the wood with clean water and let it dry naturally.
Our recyclers and garbage bins made of durable FRP fiberglass can be cleaned easily; smooth finishes can be gently scrubbed with soap, water, and a soft brush, while textured finishes with soap and water applied with a gentle pressure washer spray, avoiding any abrasives on textured finishes.
The Plaza Bins made of powder-coated mild steel should be cleaned with water and a mild detergent with the help of a soft cloth or a light bristle brush. You should also avoid abrasives as they can affect the protective powder coating and ultimately affect the life expectancy of your outdoor garbage bin
Avoid cleaners containing chlorine and abrasives, and do not steam clean the mild steel. Minor surface scratches on powder-coated steel can be addressed using our touch-up kit.
