Bioretention Planter, Aluminum

Our bioretention planters are pre-built and installed on-site to collect stormwater from drain leads/downspouts. Plants and media filter water, removing organic and inorganic solids, and slowly release the water into the storm drains, reducing peak discharge rates. We offer a range of standard sizes in both aluminum and GFRC - Glass-fiber reinforced concrete, but most bioretention projects are custom.

Tournesol products are made to order for commercial application. Exact lead times are provided once your order is received.

At checkout, choose your delivery method:

Commercial Curbside Delivery with Liftgate: driver unloads and places your item(s) curbside. No forklift needed.

Commercial Curbside Delivery: a forklift must be available on site to receive the delivery.

Orders over $40,000 or with mixed product types are quoted separately after checkout.

We offer scheduled delivery to commercial and residential addresses. Deliveries do not include unpacking or removal of packing materials.

Powder-Coated Aluminum

We forge strength from a consistent 1/8” thickness of ASTM B209 5052-H32 marine-grade aluminum alloy. Our production process involves precise laser-cutting and welding for clean edges and watertightness. Then, products are dry steam washed and pretreated with a closed loop, environmentally friendly zirconium solution before applying a zinc-free epoxy primer and polyester powder-coat.

Care & Maintenance

  • Clean surface with water and a mild detergent using a soft cloth, sponge or light bristle brush.
  • Avoid steam cleaning or abrasive cleaners and tools.
  • Avoid cleaners containing chlorine.
  • Power washers can be used for larger cleaning jobs, but ensure the pressure is below 500 psi.
  • Inspect periodically for scratches, nicks, gouges, and damaged areas, especially on high-wear surfaces.
  • For minor/light scratches, use a touch-up kit available upon request for a small charge.
  • For larger gouges, nicks, or damaged areas where the metal is exposed, please contact Tournesol for instructions on repair.
