Employee SMS Terms & Conditions

1. About this program

Tournesol Siteworks LLC ("Tournesol," "we," "us") offers a voluntary text-message program for employees at our Port Orchard, Washington, and Jurupa Valley, California, facilities. It does two things:

  • Facility alerts. Employees who sign up receive texts about events that affect their facility, such as power outages, severe weather, and other safety or operating alerts.
  • Absence reporting. An employee can text a dedicated number to report an absence. We forward the message to their supervisor by email.

These Employee SMS Terms apply only to this program. Texts between Tournesol and customers are covered by our SMS Terms & Conditions. Messages are sent from and received at 833-910-3634 and 833-978-6023.

2. Enrollment is voluntary

Only current Tournesol employees at the facilities named above may enroll. Enrolling is your choice. It is not a condition of employment, and declining or stopping will not affect your job, pay, or standing. We do not add anyone to the alert program without their action.

To enroll in facility alerts, text “Tournesol” to 833-910-3634. By enrolling, you confirm that you are the user of the mobile number you give and that you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Consent wording shown at sign-up: "I agree to receive text alerts from Tournesol Siteworks LLC about my facility, such as power outages and weather. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Enrolling is voluntary and not a condition of employment. See the Employee SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

The absence line does not require enrollment. Sending a text to it is your request that we receive and forward your message.

3. Alert messages, frequency, and cost

Alerts are sent when something affects your facility, so frequency varies. Examples include power outages and their restoration, severe weather, early closures or delayed openings, and other safety or operating notices. We do not use this program for marketing or advertising purposes.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Tournesol does not charge you for the program, but your carrier may. Check with your carrier about your plan.

Alerts may be delayed, may not reach you, or may be missed. Do not rely on them as your only source of safety information. In an emergency, call 911 and follow your facility's emergency procedures.

4. Absence reporting line

You can report an absence by texting 833-978-6023. We match your number to your employee record and forward your message by email to your supervisor, so they know you will be out. Your supervisor receives your name, your phone number, the time of the message, and the text you wrote.

This line is for notifying your supervisor only. Forwarding a text is not approval of time off, and it does not replace any other notice your facility, your supervisor, or the law requires, such as call-in rules or leave requests. We may send one automatic reply to confirm that we received your text. Please keep absence texts short and do not include medical details or other sensitive information.

If your number does not match an employee record, we may not be able to forward your message. IN that case, contact your supervisor directly. Forwarded absence messages are kept in your supervisor's email and may be used as part of attendance records under our standard retention practices.

5. Opting out, getting help, and carriers

Opt out: Reply STOP to any alert at any time. You will receive one confirmation message, and then we will stop sending alerts. You can also tell your supervisor or HR, or email employeesuccess@tournesol.com. To enroll again later, sign up again or reply START. Opting out of alerts does not stop you from texting the absence line.

Help: Reply HELP, or contact Employee Success at 800-542-2282 or employeesuccess@tournesol.com.

Carriers: Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Privacy, changes, and contact

Privacy. We use your name, mobile number, facility, and the content of your texts only to send facility alerts, forward absence notices to your supervisor, and administer this program. We do not sell this information. We do not share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it with service providers that help us run the program, such as our messaging and email providers, under confidentiality obligations, and where the law requires. We also handle employee information under our internal employment policies. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle information.

Your responsibilities. Keep your mobile number current in the enrollment system and tell us if you change or stop using it, so alerts do not go to someone else.

Changes. We may update these Terms. The current version is posted at tournesol.com/pages/employee-sms-terms with its effective date. If you keep using the program after an update, you accept it.
