About the Team

The Sales Team is currently seeking a Regional Business Development Manager that will be in the field calling on architects, designers and select key contractors in the Pacific NW Region. The Sales Team consists of Regional Business Development Managers, Specifier Advisors, Project Contractor Advisors, and Project Estimators, working together to estimate, coordinate, and process large and complex projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting and dynamic role that is perfect for someone looking to blend their love of educating, engaging, and building relationships with designers. As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing Tournesol Siteworks brand, product awareness, acceptance, and sales to the contract design & commercial segments. This position will actively identify, pursue, and increase sales and brand loyalty by calling on architects, designers, builders, and developers while coordinating and collaborating with other members of the Sales Team. This is a technical sales role that engages and supports designers using Tournesol products on their projects. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s best firms and interact on amazing projects, while setting your own schedule to achieve consistent progress in the territory. This full-time position will be based out of your home office and will require regular travel throughout the territory and occasional travel to our manufacturing facilities (Union City, CA; El Paso, TX and Port Orchard, WA). You’ll have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new and enhance existing specifier relationships.
  • Promote products in formal presentations to architects, designers, and targeted organizations to get products specified.
  • Support key Landscape Contractors on projects as needed, providing design assistance and pricing guidance.
  • Understand the construction market and be able to provide technical sales support and guidance to design customers.
  • Represent and promote Tournesol through hosting and attendance of local chapter events, along with other associations.
  • Develop new project opportunities through personal sales efforts and professional relationships with architects, designers, building owners and property management firms.
  • Consistently provide accurate market feedback to identify trends, assist with product development and product needs.
  • Maintain account details (relationship, project, and product details) within (Salesforce CRM)
  • Actively engage with other teams in the updating of sales collateral, technical product data & information, mockups and proposals.
  • Attends sales, team and customer meetings as required and participates in all relevant training opportunities.
  • Travel as required to support the work.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $140,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Estimating Coordinator

About the Team

The Sales Team is currently seeking an Estimating Coordinator to work at one of our manufacturing locations. The Sales Team is responsible for estimating and coordinating large and complex projects within the organization.

About the Role

As an Estimating Coordinator, you’ll work with the Estimating Manager to support the Sales and Estimating teams, in reviewing and quantifying landscape construction plans. You’ll use Salesforce and other electronic tools to identify and quantify construction plans. You’ll be generating quotes on range of projects and products, including planters, site furnishings and fountains. You’ll be based in one of our manufacturing locations (Union City, CA, Port Orchard, WA, or Fontana, CA) and will be required to travel occasionally to other facilities. You will have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Team by doing take-offs, working from construction plans and specifications for projects
  • Prepare routine estimates as needed
  • Use estimating software to aid in estimations
  • Communicate data to Sales and Estimating teams in a timely manner via multiple channels
  • Assist Sales and Estimating teams in qualifying projects
  • Ability to learn production techniques and capabilities, in concrete, fiberglass, metal and wood
  • Use Salesforce CRM to route appropriate work to the team

Necessary Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • 1+ years’ experience in estimating and/or managing projects
  • Knowledge of the landscape or green build industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with the construction industry, plans and specifications, including doing take-offs
  • Computer literate, specifically in electronic take-off tools, MS Office and Salesforce (CAD would be a bonus)
  • Self-directed, decision maker, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organized, unflappable and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

AP Specialist

About the Team

The Finance Team is currently seeking an AP Specialist for our corporate office in Union City, CA. The Finance Team consists of an Accounting Manager, Assistant Accounting Manager and an AP Specialist, working together and with other departments to collect and remit payments, process vendor invoices, create month-end and year-end financial reporting, and assist the sales team with project-specific financing needs.

About the Role

The AP Specialist will work under the direction of the Assistant Accounting Manager to organize, code, and input invoices into the company’s accounting system ensuring proper record keeping, developing best practices and procedures, maintaining accurate and timely month-end close for accounts payable tasks and reports. This position will also require knowledge of project accounting, responsible for ensuring that project orders are processed and billed accordingly. The AP Specialist will be based in the corporate office in Union City, CA and will have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring orders are complete, correct, and current at all times
  • Ensuring that each Project is appropriately priced for the nature, difficulty, and quantity of work and materials.
  • Extensive use of Salesforce, Monday.com, SharePoint, Excel, and Bluebeam Revu
  • Exceptional documentation and organization for clear and easy access and understanding by all project stakeholders
  • Cooperating with the Project Engineering team to ensure design submittals are on-scope

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Responsible for proper G/L coding of all invoices
  • Process vendor invoices by performing 3-way matching to ensure that invoice details match purchase orders and receiving
  • Process all vendor payments, including employee reimbursements and electronic payments, for all companies
  • Review vendor invoices to ensure accurate accrual of use tax
  • Reconcile and process all corporate credit card transactions
  • Process all vendor payments, including employee reimbursements and electronic payments, for all companies
  • Reconcile and process all corporate credit card transactions
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute accordingly
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Responsible for all A/P month end closing tasks
  • For A/P accrual account, after month end, ensure that actual invoices are received and entered to clear the accrual
  • For project financing transactions, work with Project Coordinators to ensure completion and accuracy of project financing
  • As necessary, gather pre-lien information and follow steps of lien process
  • Throughout lien process, ensure that green copies of certified mail have been received by all parties
  • Vendor management, ensuring W9 forms are obtained and up to date
  • TIN matching of all new W9s
  • Prepare credit applications for new vendors
  • Prepare annual 1099 reports
  • Collaborate in process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining accounts payable procedures and enhancing overall efficiency
  • Assist with other projects as needed

Necessary Skills

  • Manufacturing or construction background preferred
  • Experience processing liens in various states preferred

  • Computer literate, familiar with MS Word and Excel
  • Experience using SAP Concur highly desired
  • Enjoy being part of a team, but also feel comfortable working on your own and taking initiative
  • Possess excellent documentation skills
  • Other tasks or projects as assigned
