About the Team
The Production team is currently seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with experience in a metal manufacturing environment for our Fontana, CA manufacturing facility. The Metal Fabrication team works together with other departments to create, build, assemble, and ship products for the commercial construction industry.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will work with the (TITLE?) working directly with the Production Teams at our facilities.
You will be based in one of our manufacturing facilities. You’ll have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Perform test, alignment, operating parameters, and maintenance of various production and plant equipment.
- Perform bench processes to complete mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic operations using hand tools, power tools, etc.
- Assist in providing timely and efficient response to requirements and requests from Engineering, Manufacturing, and the overall needs of the operation.
- Follow schedules and action lists to accomplish tasks and goals.
- Manage time and resources to accomplish actions and tasks.
- Communicate/interface with management and production staff to problem solve in an attempt to meet or accelerate task actions, production efficiency, product quality and schedule milestones.
- Assist with reviewing and revising Standard Operating Procedures and documentation.
- Completes and maintains documentation in line with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipates/recognizes potential safety issues associated with procedures and equipment and initiates action to solve or prevent problems.
- Troubleshooting and debugging of new designs, failed assemblies, and manufacturing line returns, including evaluating components, assemblies or products for acceptance, and create reports from evaluations.
- Implement use of new improved manufacturing practices and equipment and continuously renew and extend knowledge, skills, and understanding of essential-to-job related duties.
- To continuously identify, recommend and/or undertake activities and methods to make positive contributions to the company goals and initiatives within the scope of the position.
Necessary Skills
- Proven manufacturing experience, Metal manufacturing preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and good problem solving, interpersonal communication, and team skills.
- Good communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Ability to multi-task.
- Experience with Excel and Word documents
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation, regular attendance and punctuality are critical
