Choosing vines for Greenscreen
Twining vines like honeysuckle, jasmine, trumpet vine, and five-leaf akebia are excellent choices for wall-mounted Greenscreen applications. You can even grow edible plants—grapevines, for example—layered with clematis for seasonal beauty and layered growth.
When selecting vines, choose species with a mature height that will reach the top of your Greenscreen installation. If additional height is needed, consider integrating on-structure planters. Be sure to factor in site-specific conditions such as climate, sun and wind exposure, soil quality, irrigation needs, and your desired visual effect. For optimal performance and aesthetics, consult a landscape architect, horticulturist, or professional landscaper, and refer to our plant selection chart to find species that meet your needs in terms of growth habit and mature height.

Planting for success
Once you've chosen plants suited to your installation, review the planting guide to set up your climbing vines for success. It includes tips on soil preparation, irrigation, and other key factors. For more details, download the planting details that match your Greenscreen application. For the best results, consult a landscape architect, landscaper, or horticulturist to ensure proper planting for your specific site and plant selection.

Keep your installation thriving
All plants require some level of maintenance, though some vines are less demanding than others. At a minimum, all plants should receive annual care, including pruning, fertilization, mulch application, and an irrigation system check. Download the Greenscreen Maintenance Guidelines and consult your landscaper, or horticulturist, for best practices.
